“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!  Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!   Know that the Lord, he is God!  It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!  For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever!” (Psalm 100 ESV)

Psalm 100 is a jubilant call for all the earth to joyfully praise and serve God. All of us should minister with gratitude keeping our hearts properly aligned with the "Giver of all good gifts.” God would have us live a lifestyle of wholehearted worship, -- emphasized in our service for God with gladness because He is our living Creator and good Shepherd. The psalm closes by celebrating God’s eternal love and faithfulness. Let us do the same with the days we have.

Mid-Summer Praises:

  • In Dayton, OH, Iglesia (church) Keystone continues on, completing its first year this month. We enjoy our family of many regulars both in Sunday morning worship and in Thursday evening merienda (light supper) and Bible study.

  • Kevin had a successful trip and training session in Salamanca, Mexico, this April. One of our English pastors from Keystone, Dan Williams, also taught.  They worked with 46 pastors and church leaders in teaching Old Testament Survey.

  • Also in April, Kevin traveled to the Dominican Republic and worked with our Mexican coworkers, Edwin and Olivia, to share with over 20 churches the EvanTell ministry.  These several-days long workshops teach how to share the gospel relationally with those who are most close to us in life.

  • Here at Keystone, Kevin has also started teaching the same Bible Institute courses with our own Spanish congregation. Six men are currently studying Bibliology.

  • Tia’s mission trip to Costa Rica went super smoothly and was such a blessing to all involved. Along with leader Camille Clements and another Legacy Christian Academy teacher, they took five young men and five young ladies to work on the Caribbean side of the country with a church and schools in the province of Limón.  Several children at the schools and at a teen outreach day indicated their need and desire to follow Jesus Christ. Thank you to those who helped fund this ministry.

  • In April we were able to visit with our New Jersey and Ireland relatives for a sweet reunion there.

  • And at the end of June, we enjoyed a few days on Lake Erie in Canada for our 40th anniversary.

Prayer Requests:

  • Upcoming ministry trips in the fall (Costa Rica and Mexico).

  • Tia’s ongoing work with English-as-a-second-language here in Dayton with church members. She is also part of the worship team at Iglesia Keystone.

  • The need for more outreach into the Hispanic areas of our city. While this was a focus a year ago when we began the work, it is important to once again reach out into the Dayton Latino community.

  • Tia will begin another year of part-time teaching middle-school Spanish at Legacy Christian Academy.

Thank you for all your prayers and support. So needed, so felt!

With faith in Him,
